About BFT Produktions AG
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Meisterschwanden, BFT Produktions AG develops and produces banding machines and systems under the internationally known product brand ATS. In banding, products are wrapped with a band of paper or film to form a single unit and bundled attractively for sale; the heart of every machine is the patented 40'000 Hz ultrasonic cold welding via sonotrode, which operates without heat and emissions and whose sealing force is infinitely adjustable. The range of services extends from engineering through design and parts manufacturing to assembly including in-house control cabinet manufacturing, automation, commissioning as well as testing and final inspection; around 90 % of value creation takes place in Switzerland, with some assemblies manufactured by regional partners in the Mittelland region. In addition to standard machines, the company is a specialist in customer-specific custom machine building. The machines are used worldwide in industries such as the graphic arts industry, food processing, logistics, pharmaceuticals, retail, banks, mail-order companies and laundries; sales in Switzerland are handled by the sister company Tanner & Co. AG, internationally by ATS-Tanner Banding Systems AG. Both are part of the ATS-Tanner Group.
