About BGK Endlosband
BGK manufactures true endless belts for conveying and drive applications, produced in one piece without a splice joint – in any length up to 10,000 mm. The belts consist of three individually combinable components: a tension member made of polyester, cotton, aramid or an elastane fiber blend; a coating on one or both sides made of polyurethane, neoprene or silicone; and optional mechanical surface machining. This includes punching, stamping, grooving and milling as well as equipping the belts with guide profiles, cleats and patterns. Coating of products from other manufacturers is also possible to achieve a closed, joint-free surface. The endless belts offer uniform, smooth running, good power transmission, and hygienic and easy-care properties, and are used mainly in general industry for conveying and drive applications as well as in the food sector. Product selection is application-based via the BGK BANDBAUKASTEN (belt construction kit) with consultation on tension member, coating and machining.

Materials and Processes
Polyester
The most commonly used tension member, dimensionable for different tensile forces depending on specification.
Cotton
Natural-fiber tension member for sliding applications with a low coefficient of friction.
Aramid
Tension member with special tensile strength for applications with high power transmission.
Elastane fiber blend
Tension member blend for applications that require length-elastic belts.
Polyurethane (PU/PUR)
Economical all-rounder for coatings, elastic to rigid, plasticizer-free and suitable for food contact.
Neoprene (polychloroprene rubber)
Coating for high-performance, antistatic belts with good chemical resistance.
Silicone
Coating with high temperature resistance and hygiene, e.g. for the food sector.
PVC
Alternative coating material (limited source information).
