A family business with vision
BHK Kottmann GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed industrial wood processing company founded in Büren in 1971 and a pioneer of wrapping technology. The company, with around 450 employees and annual revenue of more than 80 million euros, produces foil-wrapped drawer sides (single-piece drawer sides and folded drawer sides) in highly automated manufacturing – in quantities of hundreds of thousands per week. Materials processed include particleboard E0.5 and, on request, MDF E0.5, with wrappings made of rigid PVC, PP films or paper film in plain and wood decors; profile heights from 60 to 254 mm are possible. In addition, the portfolio includes furniture profiles, lacquered plywood drawers, profile wrapping as a contract service and custom adaptations such as drilling, milling and shaped contours. Customers range from the furniture industry to craft businesses; a factory outlet offers products for decorative interior fittings. Production takes place at five sites in Germany, Poland, Lithuania and the United Kingdom in order to keep transport routes to customers and suppliers short.
