BHS-Sonthofen is a family-owned group of companies in mechanical and plant engineering, headquartered in Sonthofen in the Allgäu region. The company manufactures machines and complete systems for mechanical, thermal and chemical process engineering: twin-shaft batch mixers (DKX), dry-material mixers (DMX), continuous mixers (LFK, MFKG), planetary mixers (BPX) as well as impact crushers, rotor impact mills, rotor centrifugal crushers and shredders. Further business areas are filtration and drying for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries as well as recycling technology for metal recovery. The machines are used, among other applications, in concrete and building materials production, the aggregates industry, mining, chemistry and pharmaceuticals, and recycling. With around 600 employees, four production plants and nine subsidiaries, the group is represented worldwide; the export share is approximately 80%. An 1,800 m² test center in Sonthofen enables industrial-scale trials for mixing and crushing processes.
