About the Manufactory
The Bielefelder Bettfedern-Manufaktur Verse GmbH was founded in 1926 by Fritz Verse and has been run by the Verse family since 1991 in the third, and since 2014 in the fourth generation. The company produces all bedding products – cassette duvets, down duvets, feather beds and pillows, including the Hermetic® brand – fully integrated in Bielefeld. The value chain covers the entire raw feather processing: washing at approx. 30 °C with biodegradable detergents, drying in the steamer at at least 110 °C, dust extraction, sorting into Euro-Norm compliant blends, and finishing in the company's own tailoring shop with individual filling of the chambers. The machine park combines historic sorting machines with washing machines and filling machines of the latest technology. In addition to distribution under its own brands, the company offers private labeling, warehousing and direct shipping to end customers. Since the new building on Höfeweg in Bielefeld-Dornberg, production started in October 2017 at the current site; internationally, markets such as Russia, Korea and Brazil are supplied.
