About the association

Bierland Oberfranken e. V. is a registered association based in Hof that promotes the beer culture of Franconia. The association operates the internet platform bierland-franken.de, on which more than 260 breweries, hundreds of beer gardens and traditional beer cellars in Franconia are listed. The offerings include a brewery and inn search, an evergreen festival calendar with church fairs and Bock beer tapping ceremonies, brewery tours as well as tips on beer gardens and brewery museums along the Franconian Beer Route. The association also publishes news from the region, for example on awards won by Franconian breweries, and is committed to tourism and the brewing industry. The chairwoman is Gisela Meinel, the second chairman is Martin Schöffel MdL. The register office is the Bayreuth local court (register of associations no. 1501/1).
