Feeding systems and barn equipment since 1938
Big Dutchman has been designing and implementing feeding systems and barn equipment for modern pig and poultry farming since 1938. The portfolio covers laying hen housing, broiler production and pig farming as well as the newer business areas of insect farming (Better Insect Solutions) and turnkey greenhouse construction together with partner Ammerlaan. The offering includes turnkey barn buildings, barn climate and barn lighting, exhaust air purification, residual material recycling, feed storage and feed transport, grinding and mixing plants with drum cleaners, hammer mills, filters, dry mixers, and indoor and outdoor silos, energy supply and digitalization. Grinding and mixing plants enable the processing of cereals, soy, dry minerals, vitamins and fats into individual feed mixes on the farm itself. The family-owned company with headquarters in Vechta-Calveslage employs more than 3,500 people from 45 nations and supports more than 200 agencies in 80 countries; in 2022, revenue exceeded one billion euros for the first time. In addition, certified service partners, a central customer helpdesk and spare parts supply provide support throughout the entire plant life cycle.
