BIMAT is a Germany-based manufacturer specializing in crane standard parts. The product portfolio includes rope sheaves, split sheaves, multi-groove rope sheaves, hook blocks, load hook suspensions, lamella hooks and lifting beams up to hook No. 250, manufactured according to DIN, FEM, API and customer specifications. The rope sheave bodies are produced in welded design, which gives the company dimensional flexibility and allows it to adapt to customer requirements. In addition to manufacturing, BIMAT offers engineering services: design and detailing according to customer specifications, static calculations as well as stress and fatigue strength verifications using FEM according to standards such as F.E.M. 1.001 or DIN 15018, the design of bearings and seals including bearing life calculation, and the application for Design and Type Approvals with classification societies such as DNV GL, ABS and LR including works inspection. The company also carries out overhauls and repairs of rope sheaves and hook blocks with non-destructive testing (NDT) and offers complete refurbishments. Customers include manufacturers of production cranes, deck cranes, ship cranes, mill and steelworks cranes, as well as offshore and marine installations such as container cranes and harbor mobile cranes. For oversized components, BIMAT arranges special transports.
