About binder precision parts ag
binder precision parts ag, headquartered in Grenchen (Switzerland), is an affiliated company of Franz Binder GmbH & Co. Elektrische Bauelemente KG (Neckarsulm) and produces ready-to-install precision turned parts for connection technology and industry. Wires, bars, tubes as well as standard and special metal profiles with diameters up to 32 millimeters are machined – more than 600 tonnes of raw material per year, of which over 700 tonnes of brass as the most machined material. The machine fleet comprises more than 80 production systems, including CNC sliding headstock lathes, CNC multi-spindle lathes, cam-controlled sliding headstock lathes and rotary transfer machines. Production covers quantities from 500 parts up to large-scale series with several million parts. Upon customer request, heat treatment, electroplating, finishing and simple assembly work are performed, in some cases with partner companies. The products are used in automation, metrology and control engineering, medical technology, the food industry as well as in mechanical and plant engineering.

Materials and Processes
Brass
Most machined material with over 700 t/year; good machinability, corrosion resistance and conductivity, including lead-free alloys.
Bronze
Wear-resistant with good sliding and spring properties; low stress relaxation at elevated temperatures.
Stainless steel
Corrosion- and temperature-resistant, hygienic; used mainly in the food industry and medical technology.
Aluminium
Lightweight, non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant; used among others in aerospace as well as mechanical and plant engineering.
CNC sliding headstock lathe
49 machines for complex precision parts, materials up to 32 mm diameter.
CNC multi-spindle lathe
12 machines with 6 main spindles for highly productive manufacturing of complex workpieces (5–25 mm).
Cam-controlled sliding headstock lathe
19 machines for economical large-scale series of simple turned parts from 1 to 7 mm.
Rotary transfer machine
7 machines for large-scale series up to 150 parts per minute on 12 or 24 stations.
