About BinNova

BinNova GmbH & Co KG, based in Frankenberg (Hesse), specializes in microfiltration and Metal Fiber Technology. The company develops and manufactures innovative filter materials made of glass and synthetic fibers for liquid filtration, air filtration and coalescence media as well as customized applications. Ultra-fine metal fibers with diameters of 1 to 10 µm are produced by BinNova Metal Fiber Technology GmbH (MFT), a wholly owned subsidiary founded in 2015, located in Rudolstadt (Thuringia). The product range comprises fibers made of aluminum, copper, gold, silver, zinc, stainless steel as well as cobalt- and iron-based alloys, which are further processed into sheet materials with adjustable porosity and density. The portfolio ranges from sintered and reinforced sheet materials through gradient-density structures with an almost unlimited number of layers to hybrid materials made of metal, glass and synthetic fibers – pure and free of binders or additives. Applications include filtration, energy storage and battery technology, catalysis and electromagnetic shielding. The patented process technology was developed jointly with leading research institutes such as the Max Planck Institute and Fraunhofer IFAM.
