Bio-Nahrungsmittel Produktions- und Handels GmbH (Mayreder's Bio Nahrungsmittel) is an Austrian family-owned company based in Grödig near Salzburg. The company imports certified organically produced raw materials such as dried fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes and cereal products and fills them as organic products under private label and its own brand. Filling takes place on eleven fully automatic lines with auger dosing or multihead weigher systems, in some cases under modified atmosphere for sensitive, high-fat products. In addition, nuts and kernels are roasted and snacks are refined with coatings such as chocolate, caramel or honey. Filling is carried out exclusively in laminated films with UV protection and oxygen barrier; every bag is metal-detected. Around 250 employees supply the European specialist and grocery retail trade, from direct import through product management to logistics.
