About Biohof Seemann
Biohof Seemann is a family farm in Eberdingen (district of Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg) that cultivates its fields in accordance with the guidelines of the Bioland association. The focus of the farm is strawberry cultivation with more than 10 different varieties; strawberries have been a firm part of the farm since 1965. In addition, raspberries, blackberries and grain (spelt, oats, wheat) are grown. Part of the grain is used as bread and food grain, part as feed for the dairy cows of a fellow Bioland farmer; in return, the farm receives organic fertiliser, and the wheat straw is used as bedding for the strawberries. Part of the harvest is processed on the farm: into the farm's own Fruchtix fruit spreads with 70 percent fruit content and, every year, into a strawberry Prosecco. The products are sold in the farm's own farm shop in Eberdingen; in addition, self-picking in the field is possible.
