About the BIO OIL Group
The BIO OIL Group (Bio Oil GmbH) was founded in 2007 and produces and trades sustainable biodiesel and biomethane in Europe. From collected used cooking oil (UCO) and other waste-based feedstocks such as animal fat, fatty acids, acid oil and POME, the company produces UCOME to EN 14214 in four biodiesel plants, with greenhouse gas savings of up to 90%. The process comprises filtration and pre-treatment of the feedstock, esterification and transesterification with methanol and sodium methylate in the reactor, as well as purification and quality control; the by-product glycerine is refined and supplied, among others, to the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. Since 2024, the Group has also operated a biomethane plant with a capacity of up to 1,000 m³/h. The biodiesel plants are located in Eemshaven (NL), Krems and Bleiburg (AT) and Sohland (DE); the Group's own UCO collection companies in Belgium, Serbia, Ukraine, Slovakia and Germany secure the feedstock supply. The headquarters is in Markthof (Lower Austria), with a trading and operations head office in Vienna and a finance and logistics head office in Trnava (Slovakia).

FAME biodiesel (UCOME)
Product to EN 14214 made from UCO and advanced waste feedstocks for fuel blending and transport.
Biomethane
Renewable gas from renewable resources and organic waste, up to 1,000 m³/h in Parndorf.
Glycerine
By-product of transesterification, purified and usable among others for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
Animal fat / fatty acids / acid oil / POME
Further waste-based feedstocks purchased and sold by the company.
Methanol / sodium methylate
Reaction partner and catalyst for transesterification into fatty acid methyl esters.
Fresh cooking oil
Supplied to the restaurant and food industries; the used cooking oil is collected back.
