About BIO PLANÈTE
As Europe's first organic oil mill, BIO PLANÈTE Ölmühle Moog GmbH has been processing seeds, nuts, fruits and kernels into high-quality organic edible oils since 1984. The German-French family-owned company with around 160 employees produces more than 70 different cold-pressed organic oils, including olive oils, linseed oils, black cumin oils, coconut oils, seasoning oils, oil compositions and Omega linseed oil blends. The oils are pressed once, cold, using screw presses without heat input, and are subsequently filtered through cellulose; for particularly mild linseed oil, an in-house developed 3D filtration process is used that specifically removes bitter substances. Olives are cold-extracted within a few hours of harvest. Every oil undergoes up to 18 quality checks before delivery; quality is backed by annual IFS Food certification and EU organic certification (DE-ÖKO-006). In October 2023, Europe's first reusable packaging solution for edible oil (Rev|ÖL|ution) was launched at the Saxony site. The headquarters with oil mill and farm shop is located in Klappendorf near Lommatzsch in Saxony; products are distributed via organic specialty retailers, grocery retail and the company's own online shop, also to France.

Raw Materials & Processes
Cold Pressing
Pressed once, cold, without heat input using screw presses; preserves the flavor and nutrients of the oilseeds.

In-house developed process that uses the three-dimensional structure of certain protein building blocks to filter the bitter substances out of linseed oil.
Cellulose Filtration
Removes suspended particles from the unrefined oils and yields a clear oil.
Cold Extraction (Olives)
Olives are traditionally harvested and cold-extracted within a few hours.
