About bioconstruct
bioconstruct is a renewable energy company based in Melle, Lower Saxony, directly adjacent to the A30 motorway. As a general contractor, the company builds biogas plants on a turnkey basis – from earthworks and infrastructure work through to the completed test run, optionally with a gas yield guarantee. In total, more than 300 projects have been delivered, including individual projects with investment volumes of over €25 million. In addition to plant construction, bioconstruct also operates plants itself and is involved in more than 20 projects, often together with farmers. The range of services further includes the development, construction and operation of ground-mounted photovoltaic systems with over 10 years of experience, wind energy projects, the integration of battery storage into solar parks, electrolyser projects for hydrogen production from wind power, ORC systems for generating electricity from CHP waste heat, and the processing of digestate into fertiliser and water. At the Melle site, the company divisions have offices, an agricultural technology centre, a workshop and a test field.

Materials and Processes
Biogas
Converted into electricity and heat in combined heat and power plants or processed into bio-LNG for the fuel market.
Slurry
From around 300 livestock units onwards, an economical input material for agricultural biogas plants.
Manure
From animal husbandry; methane utilisation saves CO2 equivalents.
Silage (maize, grass cut)
A major share of the input of many biogas plants.
Digestate
Processed by filtration and evaporation into high-quality fertiliser and water.
Hydrogen
Produced in electrolysers from surplus wind power at the wind farm site.
Bio-LNG
Processed biogas for use as a fuel in the haulage market.
