About the Bioenergie Gruppe
The Bioenergie Gruppe is a family-owned company from West Styria (Austria) that has existed since 1874. For more than 25 years, the company has been planning, building and operating climate-friendly biomass heating plants, combined heat and power plants and district heating networks, supplying private households, public institutions as well as commercial and industrial businesses with regional heat. The group currently operates 32 biomass heating plants with associated district heating networks as well as four biomass CHP power plants with a total electrical capacity of 9 MW. In addition, 86 MW of waste heat is extracted in five projects, including in cooperation with Heinzel Pulp (Pöls) and Sappi (Gratkorn). The portfolio is complemented by the Gaberl wind farm, three hydropower plants in the Traisen Valley and a biogas plant at the Zeltweg air base.
