About Biogas Wetscher Bruch
Biogas Wetscher Bruch GmbH & Co. KG operates a biogas plant in Wetschen (Lower Saxony) that produces biogas from renewable resources and farm manures. From the biogas, green CNG gas / biomethane is produced for fleet operators, electricity and gas for private customers, as well as CO₂ certificates for customers. Over 100 Mio. kWh of gas and over 15 Mio. kWh of electricity are produced per year; around 60 Tsd. tonnes of CO₂ are saved annually. In addition to energy production, the fermented digestate is provided as a nutrient-rich fertilizer for commercial and private customers; the company also takes delivery of manure and farm manures and supplies external heat consumers. The plant is classified as an upper-class establishment under the Major Accidents Ordinance (12. BImSchV) and received its immission control permit in 2006. More than 200 customers purchase the company's products.
