About Biogaskontor Koeberle

Biogaskontor Koeberle GmbH, based in Obermarchtal (Baden-Württemberg), develops and manufactures components for the safe operation of biogas plants. The product range includes portholes (RD 300/RD 400) for visual monitoring of the digestion process, over/underpressure safety valves (ÜU TT and ÜU GD), air dosing stations for biological desulphurisation, measuring units for sampling and pressure/temperature measurement, as well as warning signs and accessories such as vent lines. Production is mainly in stainless steel V4A and V2A as well as PE-HD, PVC and aluminium; plastic welding work is carried out by welders certified to DVS 2281. Special versions such as portholes in dip tubes, flange sleeves or stainless steel plates to customer specification are also produced. More than 13,000 portholes are in use worldwide; operating instructions are provided in multiple languages. Founder and managing director is graduate engineer Erwin Koeberle, with many years of experience in the development, construction and operation of biogas plants.

Materials & Processes

V4A

Stainless steel V4A

Base material of the portholes, over/underpressure safety valves and measuring units with high corrosion resistance in digestion substrates.

V2A

Stainless steel V2A

Used for accessories such as vent lines, carrier plates and plate components.

PE-HD

PE-HD

Used for T-pieces and connection components of the over/underpressure safety valve.

PVC

PVC

Material for warning signs such as fire extinguisher and emergency stop signs.

Alu

Aluminium

Material for embossed warning signs.

Kautschuk

Rubber

Flexible insulation of the ÜU TT, moisture-resistant, closed-cell and flame-retardant.
