About BMTT

The Biomedizin-Technikum Teterow (BMTT) is a technology and start-up centre for biomedicine and life sciences located on Bocksbergweg in Teterow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It provides biotechnology, medical technology and pharmaceutical production companies with GMP-qualified cleanroom space of 530 m² in Building Section II, in which cleanroom classes C, B and – within the safety cabinets under laminar flow – class A can be used. The cleanrooms are equipped with GMP-compliant autoclaves and centrifuges, feature separate personnel and material airlocks and a fully separate ventilation and air-conditioning system, so that sensitive processes can also be operated. In addition, laboratory and office space as well as a workshop and production area are offered. The town of Teterow is a founding member of the association BioCon Valley Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e. V.; the BMTT is one of the BioParks with laboratories in Germany.

Quality & GMP

The cleanrooms were scaled up and validated according to the GMP standard by the company Concept from Goslar; validation of the first plant section took place on 10 August 2005.

11.08.2005: In the second construction phase, the workshop and production area were expanded, a photovoltaic system installed and the cleanrooms in Building Section II upgraded from class C to B; on 10.08., the company Concept from Goslar handed over the first part of the GMP-qualified facility.
