About Bioplasmar
Bioplasmar develops and produces biodegradable biocomposites and bio-resins made from organic green waste. The company compounds biomaterials and processes them into products that are fully biodegradable in soil. Manufacturing is carried out by injection molding (organic injection molding) and compression processes, with the materials being compatible with existing production infrastructures. The products are used in agriculture and horticulture (e.g. plant pots that protect roots and reduce fertilizer consumption), in packaging and consumer goods as an alternative to single-use plastics, and in construction. R&D and production are located in Bergen-Thalmannsfeld, Germany, with headquarters in Israel; a first French production facility was established in 2018 near Poitiers in cooperation with Veolia. LCA studies confirm the environmental benefits, and the material is certified by TÜV Austria for biodegradability in soil.

Materials & Processes
Biodegradable biocomposite (bio-resin from green waste)
Material biologically degradable in soil, made from organic green waste, as an alternative to conventional plastic.
Organic Injection Molding (injection molding)
Process for processing the biocomposites in existing production facilities.
Compression Molding (Compression)
Process for shaping the biocomposites, e.g. for construction elements.
