Biotischler René Baum is a joinery based in Troisdorf near Bonn that has been manufacturing individual furniture and storage solutions since 2015. The focus is on custom-made built-in wardrobes, including for sloped ceilings and difficult room situations, as well as individual kitchens, tables, benches and washbasin units. Planning, measurement, cutting, manufacturing and surface finishing are carried out entirely in the company's own workshop in Troisdorf; no prefabricated modules or standard widths are used. Regional solid woods such as oak, ash, walnut, cherry and elm are processed, some from taken-over, well-seasoned timber stocks, as well as wood-based materials made of 100 percent recycled wood that are bonded with biogenic, formaldehyde-free adhesives. Natural oils and paints as well as varnishes meeting at least the Blue Angel requirements are used as surface finishes. In addition, the company offers restoration and heritage conservation, refurbishment of plank floors, repairs, staircases on request, as well as assembly, maintenance and care. Customers include private households as well as architecture firms and planners. As a training company, the joinery passes craft knowledge on to the next generation.
