Birke Elektroanlagen GmbH, founded in 1965 and based in Wunsiedel (Bavaria), is the parent company of the Birke group of companies. The family-owned business with around 200 employees covers the entire field of electrical engineering according to the guiding principle of “everything from a single source”: electrical installation, switchgear construction and control technology, IT & telecommunications, renewable energies, Smart Home & Smart Commercial, and the cross-trade building services division (heating, air conditioning, ventilation). In switchgear construction, the company manufactures distribution boards and switch cabinets from apartment distribution boards to the low-voltage main distribution boards of large facilities, including planning with the EPLAN P8 electrical CAE system, PLC programming (Siemens, Beckhoff, Wago), visualization, commissioning and testing in accordance with VDE/IEC directives. Through the group companies WUN Elektro, WUN Solar, BT Elektro, M Elektro, Steiner Elektro and Premium Energiesystemtechnik, the group operates throughout Europe. Customers come from industry, commerce, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and the public sector, including LAPP Insulators, MAN, BMW, Kleemann and Fresenius Medical Care.
