Birke Elektroanlagen GmbH, founded in 1965, is the parent company of the Birke group of companies and is headquartered in Wunsiedel (Bavaria). The company with around 200 employees realizes electrical engineering projects according to the guiding principle of "everything from a single source" – from the power socket to the medium-voltage switchgear. The range of services includes electrical installation, switchgear construction with engineering in EPLAN P8, control and visualization technology (PLCs from Siemens, Beckhoff and Wago), IT and network technology, photovoltaics and renewable energies, smart home and building automation as well as heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology. Customers come from industry, commerce, automotive, energy, healthcare and retail, including LAPP Insulators, TUBEX, Kleemann, MAN, BMW, Mammut and Fresenius Medical Care. The company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 2003 and to DIN 14675 for fire alarm systems since 2014, and operates throughout Europe. The new building at the headquarters completed in 2022 with approx. 1,700 m² of floor space meets the KfW Efficiency Standard 40 Plus and houses, among other things, the switchgear construction unit.
