About Bisotherm
Since 1985, Bisotherm GmbH has developed and distributed lightweight concrete masonry blocks and system products for solid residential and commercial construction. The product range includes thermally insulating exterior wall blocks for monolithic wall constructions, solid interior wall blocks, supplementary and system components, dry fills, mortars, wall temperature conditioning, as well as chimney and exhaust systems. Production is based on mineral aggregates, in particular natural pumice, which is extracted and processed within the group of companies by the Dr. Carl Riffer Baustoffwerke and ROTEC GmbH & Co. KG. The masonry blocks are manufactured in the company's own plant in Mülheim-Kärlich and in supply plants in Plaidt; fills and winter de-icing agents are produced in Neuwied, chimney systems at J. Hillen GmbH in Neuwied. Ceramic flue pipes for the chimney systems are manufactured by the extrusion process. In addition, the company offers training courses for planners, construction companies and installers through the BisoAkademie. Bisotherm GmbH is part of Dr. Carl Riffer Baustoffwerke GmbH & Co. KG, which since 2019 has been the sole shareholder of Bisotherm and ROTEC.

Material of the half-timbered infill block for the infilling and renovation of half-timbered structures.
Clay
Component of BISOCLAY clay blocks with pumice aggregate for diffusion-open wall structures in historic buildings.
Pumice gravel
Dried pumice gravel mixed with basalt and slate as the basis of BISOPHON acoustic fill.
Perlite (expanded)
Lightweight aggregate of the BISOLIT perlite fill for thermal insulation of attic and timber-beam ceilings.
Ceramics / fireclay
Extruded ceramic flue pipes or tongue-and-groove fireclay pipes as the core of the BISOAIRSTREAM chimney systems.
Mineral and organic insulating materials
Integrated thermal insulation cores of the Bisomark exterior wall blocks.
Mortar according to EN 998-2 (M10)
Thin-bed mortar and bed joint mortar for laying Bisotherm precision blocks.
