BIXOLON is a South Korean manufacturer of printing solutions with a product range in the areas of POS, label and mobile printing. The portfolio includes mobile printers, POS printers, label and linerless printers as well as kiosk and desktop label printers, complemented by software solutions and integration support. The products are used for applications in retail, hospitality, healthcare, government, manufacturing, transport and logistics, banking, ticketing, and postal and parcel services. According to the company, the entire product program is developed, engineered and manufactured in-house; a dedicated R&D department with around 50 developers drives product development forward. The headquarters with development, sales and production is located in Seongnam (South Korea), with production in Chungju. European customers are served by BIXOLON Europe GmbH in Düsseldorf, American customers by BIXOLON America in Los Angeles. The company, which was spun off from Samsung Electro-Mechanics in 2002, achieved revenue of around USD 50 million in 2008 with a worldwide market share of about 10%.
