About Black Oil & Carbon

Black Oil & Carbon GmbH (BOC) plans to build a plant for industrial, indirect and continuous carbonisation in the Lausitz region of Brandenburg. Scrap tyres are to be recycled by means of continuous pyrolysis to recover carbon black (carbon), oil and steel residues. Around 50 full-time jobs are planned for the intended investment site; the investment volume is approximately 50 million euros. The company sees its approach as a contribution to resource-conserving use of input materials and their recovery within the circular economy. The business office is located in Schönefeld near Berlin; according to the legal notice, the company is still in the process of being founded, so no commercial register entry or tax number is yet available. The contact person is Jens Nerlich.
