About the Blaser Group
The Blaser Group is an internationally active group of companies in the hunting and outdoor sector with the brands Blaser, MAUSER, J.P. SAUER & SOHN, Rigby, LIEMKE, MINOX as well as the optics specialist Blaser Group Wetzlar GmbH. At the Isny site, hunting rifles are developed and manufactured, including bolt-action rifles such as the modular Blaser R8 with straight-pull bolt, whose highly stressed components are made of hammer-forged steel and are plasma-nitrided. The bolt receiver is made of aluminium alloy and is optionally available in steel. In Wetzlar, as a think tank for innovative precision optics, the entire range of services is provided, from feasibility studies through product development to support of series production; the product portfolio includes binoculars, spotting scopes, night vision devices, trail cameras as well as rifle scopes for hunting, sport and authorities. The London heritage brand John Rigby & Co (founded 1775) continues to manufacture and sell hunting rifles on site. More than 500 employees work at the Isny site.
