About Blaupunkt
Blaupunkt traces back to the Ideal Radiotelefon- & Apparatefabrik GmbH founded in Berlin in 1923, whose headphones marked with a blue dot gave the brand its name. From 1932, the company launched one of the first commercially successful car radios, the Autoradio Autosuper AS 5, and developed under the umbrella of Robert Bosch GmbH into the leading German manufacturer of car radios and automotive electronics, headquartered in Hildesheim. Today, Blaupunkt is no longer an independent manufacturing company but a managed brand: Talisman Brands (Luxembourg) S.à r.l. d/b/a Established, backed by Ares Management and CrossTimbers Capital Group, acquired the brand in 2022 and licenses it to more than 50 partners who manufacture and distribute products in over 90 countries. The current product range includes car multimedia, EV charging solutions including installation and support, audio and TV devices, household and kitchen appliances, e-mobility, as well as home and garden products.
