Packaging manufacturer with a 150-year tradition
Blechwarenfabrik Limburg GmbH, operating since 2023 under the brand LIMBURGER – The Packaging Group, is a family business founded in 1872 with around 500 employees that develops, manufactures and distributes packaging made of tinplate (thin-gauge sheet metal) and aluminium. The product portfolio comprises chemical-technical packaging such as canisters, bottles, ring cans, conical pails, lid-seal cans, 2-K packaging, combo cans as well as aerosol cans with fill volumes from 125 ml to 36 litres, some with UN or RID/ADR hazardous goods approval. In addition to manufacturing, the company offers finishing services such as 4-colour UV tinplate printing, tinplate coating and tinplate lamination with PET film (LIFOKA), as well as prepress and contract printing services. The value chain extends from lithography through stamping and forming to inline-inspected final production. The containers are primarily purchased by the paint and coatings industry, for chemical-technical filling goods, in the food and cosmetics sectors as well as in the aerosol field. In addition to the parent plant in Limburg, the group includes production sites in Neustadt (Wied), Skarbimierz (Poland) and Metzingen, a logistics centre in Diez as well as companies in Denmark.
