About blinkyparts
blinkyparts GmbH, based in Regensburg, develops, packs and ships soldering kits, soldering iron accessories and DIY electronics for beginners, schools and maker communities. The company emerged from the Binary Kitchen hack space, where many kits were developed by volunteers; during the COVID period, kits were shipped by post and online workshops were offered. The product range includes soldering kits in various difficulty levels, soldering irons such as the open-source Pinecil v2, soldering tips, solder wire, silicone soldering mats as well as 3D-printed case kits made from recycled PLA and heat-resistant ABS+. Many kits are openly documented. Part of the profits go back into discounts, funding and donations for STEM education; special conditions and purchase on invoice are offered for schools, associations and educational institutions. Shipping is handled by DHL within Germany, across the EU and to countries with CE-recognized labeling.
