About Blista Brailletec
Blista Brailletec is a non-profit company based in Marburg that has been developing, manufacturing and distributing aids for blind and visually impaired people for more than 40 years. The focus is on Braille script: the portfolio ranges from mechanical and electronic Braille typewriters to printing systems and tactile graphics, maps and diagrams. The company's own production uses modern CNC machining centers, which are also used to manufacture the in-house development PUMA VII – an embossing machine for Braille matrices. In addition, the company produces tactile labels, films and aluminum signs as well as thermo-tactile representations using swell-paper machines and a vacuum forming machine. As master distributor, Blista Brailletec sells Braille printing systems from Index Braille AB and PIAF swell-paper machines from Harpo in Germany. The offering is complemented by a repair and maintenance service in the company's own specialized workshop. Customers include educational institutions, printing houses and organizations in the field of accessibility.
