Blueflight GmbH, based in Semriach (Austria), was founded in 2026 as the result of the Karman Aerospace brand founded by Dominik Kerschat in 2023, whose projects emerged from research work beginning in 2021. The company develops custom hardware and software systems for aerospace applications with the goal of safe autonomous systems in airspace. The product portfolio includes a small, lightweight and reliable Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) based on novel sensor fusion algorithms as well as simulation software for predicting complex air traffic scenarios, originating from research into Sense-and-Avoid systems. In addition, Blueflight offers on-site document intelligence that traces information from design decisions and engineering data back to documents without data ever leaving the building. Development follows modern, agile methods in compliance with recognized aerospace standards, supported by software automation for rapid iterations while maintaining safety. Customers include the Joanneum Aeronautics DBF Team, which was provided with an AHRS in pre-series status.
