Blumer Fensterwerke AG is a Swiss window manufacturer based in Waldstatt in the Appenzell region. The company manufactures in five of its own plants at three locations: wood and wood-metal windows (Plant 1), plastic and plastic-metal windows (Plant 2), and post-and-beam façade systems (Plant 3) in Waldstatt, as well as historic and heritage-conservation special windows with restoration in Widnau (Plant 4) and metal windows made of aluminium in Niederbüren (Plant 5). Each year, approximately 65,000 frame components, 110,000 sash components and 10,000 installed glazing units are produced. The service portfolio includes consulting, installation, window replacement and renovation, as well as an in-house service department for repairs, warranty work, insect protection, shading and cat flaps. Customers come from new construction, conversion, architecture and heritage conservation; deliveries are made within Switzerland. All manufacturing is carried out entirely in-house – from cutting to installation.
