About the BOCK Group
Bock 1 GmbH & Co. KG (BOCK) is a family-owned company in its third generation, founded in 1969 and owner-managed, with headquarters in Postbauer-Heng, Bavaria. The company manufactures standardized and customized components for the office chair and lounge furniture industry as well as for the automotive industry. Its range of services covers development and engineering, in-house mold and tool making, plastics and polyurethane processing (including foaming with certified PU foam systems), aluminum die casting, assembly and logistics. Thanks to this depth of manufacturing, BOCK offers a high degree of flexibility for customized solutions. The BOCK Group operates seven plants in five countries: Postbauer-Heng in Germany, three locations in Hungary (Noszlop, Ajka, Nemesvámos), Cambridge in Canada as an interface to the North American market, a 2,500-m² plant in Santa Catarina, Mexico, and Dongguan City in China. All locations are 100 % family-owned.

- 1969
Martin Bock registers a business for the manufacture of plastic products on November 3, 1969; founding of Bock 1 GmbH & Co. KG after the first furniture parts made of plastic.
- 1979
Relocation of the main site to Postbauer-Heng due to capacity limits at the previous location.
- 1986
Hermann Bock (2nd generation) officially takes over Bock 1 GmbH; establishment of mold making and an in-house development department, modernization into an industrial enterprise.

Start of international expansion into Hungary; cornerstone of today's BOCK Hungaria Kft.

Market entry in Asia with a location in China (today BOCK China Ltd.).
