Sealing systems from in-house compound production
Bode GmbH, headquartered in Henstedt-Ulzburg, has been developing and producing seals and sealing systems from elastomers as well as 2K bonds and seal-supporting components for over 100 years. Manufacturing covers the entire value chain: in-house elastomer compound production (compounding) with internal mixers and roller mills, vulcanization by injection molding, compression and transfer molding as well as extrusion with finishing. Materials processed include EPDM, HNBR, FKM, AEM, ACM, SBR, VMQ, LSR and thermoplastic elastomers, complemented by rubber-metal bonds with steel and stainless steel. Customers from drinking water and sanitary engineering, gas, wastewater, district heating, automotive (Tier 2), wind power, mechanical engineering and food & beverage receive custom solutions including low-friction coating, deburring, post-curing and 100% inspections. Over the past 50 years, the company with around 250 employees worldwide has brought more than 600 custom sealing system developments to market maturity.

Quality and Certification
Quality assurance is carried out in four stages: compound testing, in-process monitoring (first cycle inspection, statistical process control), 100% inspection (visual, automatic surface and dimensional inspection) and final inspection. This is supplemented by SPC with cpk/ppk values, sampling inspections according to ISO 2859, first article inspection reports (VDA, IATF 16949), APQP and a barcode-based traceability system.
