About My Bodytune
BodyTune-Online (My Bodytune) is developing a non-invasive, portable sensor device for monitoring vascular health. The device automatically analyzes the flow sounds of the carotid artery, using a combination of mobile technologies, cloud, machine learning and sensors. A smartphone app with Bluetooth connectivity creates a baseline measurement of the personalized health status, compares follow-up measurements against it, and enables sharing of results with a clinician, caregiver or coach. Monitored conditions include cerebrovascular (stroke, SCI), cardiovascular (calcium, plaque, carotid stenosis), pulmonary (COPD, asthma) states as well as Covid-19-related symptoms. The NRW/EFRE-funded BodyTune project (led by IDTM GmbH, Castrop-Rauxel) was carried out jointly with Fraunhofer ISST Dortmund, the Hochschule für Gesundheit Bochum and University Hospital Essen. There are 3 patents (USA and Germany), 10 publications and 3 awards.
