BöSha Technische Produkte GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned company based in Rüthen, founded in 1979, with over 45 years of experience in luminaire manufacturing. The company develops and manufactures LED lighting solutions for rail, industry, public lighting and explosion protection. Originally specialised in explosion-protected system solutions for the German hard coal mining industry – at times the sole supplier of explosion-protected lighting – today's product range extends from mast luminaires for the smart city through industrial and hall lighting to railway applications. The value chain includes lighting design, customised development, design engineering, sheet metal fabrication, assembly and sales; the material used is predominantly aluminium, which offers excellent recyclability. With the introduction of Multi-Chip-On-Board technology (MCOB) with reflector technology in 2012, the company set a milestone in street lighting with the PaLeStra LED mast luminaire. Deutsche Bahn AG classifies BöSha as a Q1 supplier (product group luminaires); the quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
