Böttcher Siebdruck-Service GmbH is a medium-sized family business in its third and fourth generation, based in Chemnitz. Founded in 1934 by Herbert Böttcher as a poster and lettering painting business, the company has specialised under the leadership of Uwe Böttcher in the industrial production of printing originals and screen printing stencils. Stencils are produced in formats up to 12 × 4.8 metres, tensioned with metal or polyester. The stencils form the basis for printing projects on glass, plastic, metal and other materials. In addition to stencil production, the company acts as a specialised retailer of screen printing supplies such as inks, chemicals, machines and accessories, and offers product consulting, development as well as layout and data preparation. Customers come from the glass, automotive, electrical and mechanical engineering industries; the company also offers basic screen printing training courses twice a year.
