About BOMATEC
Bomatec AG is a Swiss company with 30 years of experience in magnet technology, headquartered in Höri (Canton of Zurich). The company develops and manufactures permanent magnets and magnet assemblies based on sintered neodymium (NdFeB), samarium-cobalt (SmCo), ferrite, AlNiCo and plastic-bonded magnets (compression-bonded NdFeB). The value chain includes project management, magnet engineering with FEM simulation (Opera, ANSYS), supplier management, prototype construction in its own workshop in Höri, testing, logistics and series production. Plastic-bonded magnets and magnet assemblies are manufactured at the company's own production site Bomatec Malaysia in Swiss quality; a new production facility is under construction. Served industries include automotive, medical technology, e-mobility, renewable energies and factory automation.

Magnet Materials and Processes
Sintered neodymium magnets (NdFeB)
Highest remanence (up to approx. 1.5 Tesla), used in electric motors, wind turbines, hard disk drives and medical technology.
Samarium-cobalt magnets (SmCo)
For high-temperature and aerospace applications.
Plastic-bonded magnets (compression-bonded NdFeB)
For complex geometries in motors, sensors and magnet assemblies.
Ferrite magnets
Cost-effective option for devices and industrial applications.
AlNiCo magnets
Typically used in sensors, metrology and guitar pickups.
FEM simulation (Opera, ANSYS)
Magnetic design and optimization including analytical modeling and eddy current loss estimation.
HRE-free magnet development
Sustainable NdFeB solutions without heavy rare earths.
