About Bonsai Systems
Bonsai Systems is a spin-off of ETH Zurich based in Zurich. The company develops the Bonsai Sensing platform: ultra-low-power sensor nodes with Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, mobile apps and a cloud backend. Thanks to a modular design, hardware and software are adapted to specific application needs – from iBeacon-based micro-location beacons to sensor nodes for movement and environmental data. The services include custom sensor hardware and software development, cloud backend and app development, universal data loggers for industrial applications, and full-body 3D motion capturing with 15 wireless sensors. For music technology, the company has developed QuantiForce, a force measurement system that visualizes the forces on string and brass instruments in real time. Customers and partners come from research and development, including ETH Zurich, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and the University of Bern.
