The Company

Bor- und Diamantwerkzeuge Emgen GmbH (BDE) specializes in the development, production, machining and distribution of high-performance cutting edges made of polycrystalline diamond (PCD), monocrystalline diamond (MCD), polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN/CBN) and CVD diamond (Chemical Vapour Deposition). Production is carried out according to customer requirements in the fields of machining, cutting and wear protection. The basis can be the manufacture of an individual custom special tool or the equipping of a customer's own carbide tool. The product range comprises three main product families: tools for machining or cutting, special tools for metrology, as well as slide rails and parts with wear protection. The company has been developing and manufacturing at its site in Hilden near Düsseldorf since 1978 and advises customers on PCD/MCD/PCBN/CVD applications. Its value chain includes CNC machining of the tools as well as engineering and distribution; communication is conducted in German and English.
