About Borouge International

Borouge International is a manufacturer of high-performance polyolefins, formed in 2026 from the combination of Borouge, Borealis and NOVA Chemicals. The company produces polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) for cable insulation systems as well as EVA, and develops specialty compounds and materials for HVDC insulation systems. In addition, Borouge International manufactures circular and recycled polyolefins and has expanded its European recycling capacities. A specialty compound plant in Austria has been commissioned; XLPE products are commercialized from the Borouge 4 facility in the UAE. The materials are used, among other things, in consumer products and packaging, infrastructure (pipes and grids), energy (e.g. HVDC cables), mobility/automotive as well as Advanced Products such as medical technology. The company employs more than 10,000 staff at around 30 production sites and Innovation Centers in 6 countries and supplies markets in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
