About Bosch Industrial AM

Bosch Industrial Additive Manufacturing GmbH produces plastic components via 3D printing using injection molding granulate (pellet printing). The company implements prototypes, functional samples, pre-series and small series through to series production in the same material that is later used in injection molding. The Bosch Pellet Printer processes soft elastomers such as TPE 32 Shore 00 as well as fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (PA6 GF30, PA6 CF30) and high-performance materials such as PPS GF40. Material certifications such as ESD, UL 94 V-0 and flame retardancy according to DIN EN 45545-2 are demonstrably retained in the component; external laboratory tests confirm the properties. Customers come from automotive and mobility (including fuel cell technology), rail transport, orthopedic technology, HVAC technology, special machinery engineering and industrial automation. The company also offers material qualification when a desired granulate is not yet available in the process.

Materials and Processes

PA6 GF30 HI

PA6 GF30 HI (glass-fiber-reinforced polyamide 6)

For mechanically highly stressed components such as fork bridges and air flap control systems with tight tolerances.

PA6 GF30

PA6 GF30 (polyamide 6, 30% glass fiber)

Used e.g. for radial impellers for HVAC technology, heat pumps and ventilation technology.

PA6 CF30

PA6 CF30 (polyamide 6, 30% carbon fiber, ESD-certified)

For ESD-certified components such as vacuum grippers in special machinery engineering with high dimensional accuracy.

PPS GF40

PPS GF40 (glass-fiber-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide)

High-performance material for fuel cell systems with high thermal stability, chemical resistance and gas tightness.

TPE 32 Shore 00

TPE 32 Shore 00 (thermoplastic elastomer)

Soft elastomer for flexible applications in granulate-based 3D printing.

TPS Shore 50A

TPS Shore 50A (flame-retardant according to DIN EN 45545-2)

Flame-retardant elastomer for rail applications such as diaphragm seals of gangway doors.

Pellet Printing

3D printing with injection molding granulate

Processing of inexpensive standard injection molding granulates without expensive special filaments, with up to 300% better tensile and flexural strengths than common 3D printing processes (test results according to ISO 527).
