About BOYS FROM THE WOOD
BOYS FROM THE WOOD is a company from the Erzgebirge that produces handcrafted Erzgebirge-style smoker figures. The figures, sold as Boys and Girls from the Wood, are mostly one-off pieces; in the first 13 years over 700 different designs as well as 15 small series were created. The range extends from the snowboarder and graffiti sprayer to personalities from sport, music and culture; in addition, personalized figures are made and painted to customer specifications. The program is complemented by Schwibbögen (Christmas light arches) and merchandise such as shirts and longsleeves made of 100% organic cotton, which are produced and printed in the Erzgebirge. All figures and Schwibbögen are made by hand, and the personalized Boys and Girls are painted in the founder's studio in Switzerland. The project was founded in 2007 as a diploma thesis and was later converted into a GmbH. Since 2014, the company has held an annual PopUp show on the first weekend of Advent.
