BRABUS Automotive GmbH, headquartered in Bottrop, is a general contractor and engineering service provider for automotive manufacturers, specialising in one-off vehicle builds and small-series production. The company delivers projects as turn-key solutions along the entire product development process: from pre-development, design and engineering to body-in-white, interior and exterior, through to testing, certification and homologation. Production covers complete vehicles in small series using manufactory processes, vehicle components and accessory programmes, as well as the in-house developed armoured special-protection vehicle INVICTO based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class with self-supporting Shelter-Cell technology. Manufacturing includes body construction, toolmaking, prototype production, carbon components, upholstery (leather, Alcantara, Cordura) and joinery. Customers include OEMs such as Great Wall Motor, Bentley, WEY and Tesla. The QM system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

The testing equipment includes a state-of-the-art leak testing system built to OEM specifications as well as testing for climate cycling, endurance running, corrosion and leak tightness; special-protection vehicles are certified by an accredited German ballistics testing institute in accordance with VPAM BRV 2009 / ERV 2010.
