About Bräunlinger Löwenbrauerei

The Bräunlinger Löwenbrauerei is a family brewery from Bräunlingen in the Schwarzwald-Baar district, now in its eighth generation and looking back on over 240 years of brewing tradition. The business is run by brewmaster Eveline Kalb. Beers such as Black Lion, a Helles, Pils, Keller Pils, Radler, Festbier and a vintage beer are brewed traditionally, without preservatives and with sufficient time for fermentation and maturation. The raw materials water, malt, hops and yeast are sourced regionally. The beer is distributed exclusively over short transport routes within a radius of around 60 km around Bräunlingen. The brewery voluntarily states the bottling date on the bottles and deliberately chooses a short best-before date to ensure freshness. The brewery is a member of “Die Brauer mit Leib und Seele”, an association of Baden-Württemberg family breweries. The beer speciality Black Lion has been awarded several times, including the gold medal at the European Beer Star 2021.
