Who we are

Brauerei Aarau AG operates a craft beer brewery in Aarau, Switzerland, under the Stadtwächter brand. In 1918, the last brewery in Aarau closed its doors; in 2018, nine beer-loving Aarau residents revived the local brewing tradition. Production covers the entire brewing process from milling to wort separation with a fully automated 2.5-vessel brewhouse system (BrauKon) with 10 hl capacity, cylindroconical fermentation and storage tanks with a total capacity of 130 hl, and a filling system (GAI) that labels, fills and closes 1'500 bottles per hour. Since 2022, the company has produced at the Weihermattstrasse 80 site. Products are sold to end customers (on-site, webshop) and to business customers from gastronomy and the beverage trade.
