About the Brewery

Brauerei Bodenstein Brau- und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH produces handcrafted beer specialities in Magdeburg, brewed according to the Purity Law of 1516 exclusively with malt, hops, yeast and water. The range includes, among others, the Bodensteiner Pils and the krausened, unfiltered cellar beer Diamant Bier (Dunkel), which was awarded the Culinary Star 2026 of Saxony-Anhalt. At the Gommern site, the company operates its own production facility, the Brauserei Gommern, where beer is brewed and barrel sodas are produced in various flavours. The products are supplied to retailers and beverage markets in and around Magdeburg, including the REWE Region Ost; in addition, the brewery maintains its own factory outlet and a beer garden. Founded in 1823, the company is regarded as Magdeburg's oldest industrial brewery and was revived in 2022 by members of the founding family.
