About Brinkhoff's
Brauerei Brinkhoff GmbH is a brewery company based in Dortmund, belonging to the Radeberger Group of Dr. August Oetker KG. The brand name was created in 2002 by renaming the Dortmunder Union-Ritter-Brauerei in honour of Fritz Brinkhoff, the founding head brewer of the Dortmunder Union-Brauerei. Its best-known product is the pilsner beer Brinkhoff's No. 1, which has been brewed in Dortmund according to the original recipe of 1887 since 1977 and is available primarily in the Ruhr region in retail and gastronomy. In addition to the pilsner, the product range includes the beer-based mixed drinks Brinkhoff's Radler and Brinkhoff's Cola + Beer as well as the non-alcoholic beer Brinkhoff's Non-Alcoholic. Since 2006 the beer has been brewed at the Dortmunder Actien-Brauerei, after the company's own brewery in Dortmund-Lütgendortmund was shut down. Since 1 July 2008, the company has held the exclusive beer pouring rights at the home matches of Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park.
