Brauerei Chastelbach is a craft brewery in Himmelried, situated on a high plateau above the Chastelbach valley in the northwestern Swiss canton of Solothurn. It was founded in 2006 and, according to its own statements, is the highest-situated brewery in northwestern Switzerland. The beer is brewed by hand with Himmelried spring water; the beers are neither filtered nor pasteurized and are made without preservatives. The range includes, among others, Amber, Blond and Winter Beer. Sales are handled via an online shop with delivery, over-the-counter sales at the brewery, and through retail outlets and the hospitality sector. The brewery also includes a brewery taproom with a beer garden, regular food offerings and events such as beer fondue and sauna evenings.
